Abbey Wood, Wimbledon, SW19 - 2020

MAKE
Featuring 66 luxury apartments in the heart of South Wimbledon, this project harnesses a link between the district's old and emerging architectural aesthetics. Its location, the resting site of a medieval abbey, posed unique challenges during the concept design phase, requiring a careful and critical design response.
CREATE
Residing on a challenging heritage site of unusual shape and adjacent low density housing, this development required a high degree of design precision, technical expertise, and coordination to bring the client's vision to life. Buff brick finish and engaging roof forms are inspired by the contextual setting, with striking copper-tone windows reflecting the historic copper mills and artisans the area was once home to.
