MAKE
The existing building has Edwardian influences with pronounced quoining to the first and second floors fronting the High Street. Converting the building into residential apartments involved creating interiors and extensions that would enhance and maintain this character by balancing the existing features with contemporary elements that have been inspired by the local context.
CREATE
A variety of different artistic mediums were investigated to determine the aesthetic response and continuity with the surrounding urban fabric. Spatially, the design aims to expose greater views to the Highstreet whilst maximising natural light.

LIVE
Bronze reveals and London stock brick were applied to the crown of the structure to create a distinct regenerative aesthetic. Although the design embodies a bold nature, the carefully considered design proposal blends into the existing high-street, creating dynamic city living apartments.
